# Citations & citation workflow

- Citation style: [how about an (Author YYYY ) type e.g. Chicago].

## Citation and referencing workflow using Zotero
We strongly recommend the use of [Zotero](https://www.zotero.org/), a free and open source reference manager.
1. Download [Zotero](https://www.zotero.org/)
2. Install the Zotero plugin [Better Bibtex for Zotero](https://retorque.re/zotero-better-bibtex/) (BBZ), which will generate citation keys for each entry.
3. In Zotero, make a collection titled, say, `GDJ`.
4. Drag and drop all the references for your article.
5. The BBZ plugin will generate citation keys.
