IPA symbols don't render well in the current font, and look a ugly compared to the rest of the text. I know you like the current font a lot but I would really want to argue to make Google Noto Serif (https://github.com/googlefonts/noto-fonts) the basic font for running text and headers, because it includes the broadest possible character set with all necessary diacritics and Greek + Cyrillic.
